Although we are experts in the shipping container industry and are here to help you with your container requirements, we also aim to make a difference to the wider community.
ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) is a framework designed to be embedded into an organisation’s strategy that considers the needs and ways in which to generate value. In other words it is a strategy that is designed to make things better in this World.
Environmental Responsibility
We know that there is a big push to remove the unnecessary from all business and to save energy wherever possible. So we have been working remotely and holding video conferencing to avoid excess travel and not using valuable resources, which is cutting down the amount of CO2 we produce.
We also recycle as much as is possible within the business. Our second hand shipping containers are repaired and re-used as a storage facility, which extends the life of a container. We are able to convert shipping containers into many facilities. With these facilities we can use eco-friendly materials and energy efficient designs.
We encourage a paperless office environment and strive to minimize paper usage wherever possible. Any paper that is used is fully recycled to support our commitment to sustainability
Social Responsibility
We prioritize the well-being of our staff by supporting their mental health and overall wellness. We are committed to maintaining a safe, healthy, and positive work environment for all employees. We are committed to paying above the minimum wage.
We offer our staff 1 day a month off work to help out in a charity of their choosing. Jane fundraises for Home Start in Suffolk. Clare helps with meadows and heaths for the Suffolk Wildlife Trust and Matt helps out with the East Anglian Sailing Trust.
Jane our Director is also involved with local community eg. Jane is a volunteer publicity officer Felixstowe Ferry Sailing Club and volunteer for Music in Felixstowe.
Billie Box supports local community by way of sponsorship or by volunteering for various organisations.
Supporting charities and the local community not only makes a positive impact on those in need but also promotes mental well-being and provides a sense of achievement and fulfillment to our staff.
Our company has fundraised for many different charities throughout. These charities include:
Cancer Support Suffolk, Clic Sargent, St. Elizabeth Hospice, Age UK, Myeloma UK, Home-Start in Suffolk, Papworth Trust Suffolk Sound, Suffolk Wildlife Trust to name a few.
Governance & Ethical Practices
Our reputation is built on being experts in our field. We ensure that all our quotations are transparent and that our service is clear and concise to our customers. We strictly adhere to industry regulations, and maintain a zero-tolerance policy toward corruption. We only work with suppliers that we know and believe are carrying out business in an ethical and lawful way.
Our company does not tolerate forced labour, child labour or human trafficking in any part of our operations. We adhere to the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015.
